Help Shape the Future of The Back Kitchen

The Back Kitchen is seeking two community members for its volunteer Board of Directors. As the only restaurant on Amherst Island, the BK is an important gathering place and depends on strong leadership.

Annual General Meeting Details:

- Date: Sunday, January 18, 2026
- Time: 2:00–4:00 p.m.
- Location: St. Paul’s Church Hall

Want to get involved?

- Have experience and ideas to benefit the Back Kitchen?
- Passionate about good food and supporting your community?

No prior board experience required. The focus is enthusiasm for the Back Kitchen and willingness to contribute. Time commitment: a few hours monthly, with shared responsibilities.

Board members help to

- Provide overall guidance and support for the Back Kitchen
- Support volunteers and staff in offering great food and hospitality
- Help with planning, problem solving and community connections
