Amherst Island is once again taking part in the province-wide Doors Open Ontario event this Saturday, June 14 from 10 am to 4 pm. Featured sites this year include:

Neilson Store Museum and Cultural Centre
St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church

Celebrate the Ag Society’s New Pavilion - Saturday, June 14
Join the Amherst Island Agricultural Society this Saturday, June 14 from 12 pm to 4 pm for the Grand Opening of their brand new Pavilion! This free community event will feature live music by The Hydeways. Bring your lawn chair!
Treat Dad to Breakfast This Sunday!
We’re cooking up a special Father’s Day Breakfast this Sunday, June 15 at The Back Kitchen. Bring Dad by for a hearty meal to start his day!
Breakfast Platter: 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, and home fries ($11.00)

Sunday Chef Dinners Are Back!
Do you love to cook? Want to share a favourite meal or family recipe with the island? Guest Chef Sunday Dinners are back at The Back Kitchen and we’d love for you to join in!
Here’s how it works:
Plan a meal (main dish, a side or two, and dessert if you’re feeling ambitious)
Gather your co-chefs (friends, family, neighbours, anyone who loves to cook!)
Pick a Sunday this summer
Sign up by emailing us at backkitchenai@gmail.com or talk to Terry at the restaurant
Prepare your meal in our kitchen and serve it up to your friends and neighbours!
Sunday Dinners start as soon as our first chef signs up and will run all summer long. No professional cooking experience needed, it’s all about great food and great company!
BK Burger of the Week
Our Burger of the Week series is in full swing! We’re featuring a new burger creation every week on our signature smash burger and ACE Bakery bun. Last week’s special was the Mushroom Swiss Melt - what will this week bring? Stop in for lunch and follow us on social media to find out!
Fish Friday at The Back Kitchen
Treat yourself to a Friday night favourite! Join us every Friday night from 4 pm to 7 pm for one of our most popular meals!
Each order includes:
Beer-battered haddock (choose 1 or 2 pieces)
Golden fries
House-made coleslaw
Order online ahead of time and select your preferred pickup time between 4 pm and 7pm Friday to guarantee your order. Please note: we will not be taking phone orders for Fish Friday - online or in-person orders only.
