Halloween in Stella

The village of Stella is the place to be this Halloween! Several spots around the village are staying open late on Saturday, October 31 to welcome trick-or-treaters, so grab your little ghosts and goblins and make a night of it.

Around the village

The Back Kitchen (5pm until after dark) We're open late with Halloween food specials, treats for the trick-or-treaters, and a few more spooky surprises still in the works. We'll stay open as long as little ghouls are still roaming the village, probably until about 9pm. Fuel up before your rounds, or swing by for a bite while the kids count their haul.

Neilson Store Museum & Cultural Centre (5pm until after dark) Goodie bags for trick-or-treaters, with the Three Witches hosting the evening. Visit if you dare!

Amherst Island General Store (5pm until the ghouls go home) The General Store is staying open late to hand out treats to the kids.

Amherst Island Fire Station (6pm to 9pm) Trick-or-treating at the fire station. For the past two years, the firefighters have also parked the trucks at Centennial Park in the village. The trucks at the park aren't confirmed yet for this year, so keep an eye on this page for updates.

Trunk-or-treat at The Back Kitchen

Island residents are welcome to hand out treats from the trunks of their cars, trunk-or-treat style. Park in our lot or out front, decorate your trunk, and enjoy the evening with your neighbours. It's a great way to join in if you don't live along the trick-or-treat route.

Rain or shine

If the weather doesn't cooperate, come warm up inside the café or under our backyard gazebo. And if it's a beautiful night, come hang out anyway!

Our last weekend of the season

Halloween is also the last weekend of the season for The Back Kitchen. Sunday, November 1 is our last day before we close for the winter. Come see us one more time, and thank you for a wonderful 2026 season.
