The Lilac Forest Walkabout Experience May 23-24

Step into the quiet magic of lilac season at Rossland Gardens Amherst Island.

Our Lilac Forest Walkabout returns May 23–24, from 11am–6:30pm both days—an invitation to wander through our incredible lilac forest, in full bloom at its peak. Just a short ferry ride away, this self-guided experience allows you to move through clouds of soft violet, lavender, and white.

Fragrance hangs gently in the air, and each turn offers a new moment of stillness and beauty—along with countless natural photo opportunities.

This is one of our most cherished events of the year—a chance to slow down, take in the season and experience the garden at its most abundant. The walkabout is free and open to all, and you are welcome to linger as long as you like. We love dogs, but out of respect for our wildlife and plantings we kindly ask you to leave your furry friends at home.
